Annapurna Base Camp begins all the way from Nayapul and we trek to the North part to Ghorepani and then well-known standpoint of Annapurna region, Poon Hill for picturesque views. From Ghorepani, we walk eastwards to arrive at Chhomrong and after that walk towards north once more. We will after that walk to the Modi River Valley to get there at the Base Camp. Then again, we can go again passing all the way via Jhinu Danda, then slow down at the pleasant hot springs. While returning, we will visit one of the Gurung communities of Ghandruk as well as Landruk. Furthermore, you will get to see different wild animals- musk deer, leopards, Himalayan Thar, and diverse categories of birds also

  1. Day1 Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1320m).

    Hotel in Kathmandu Welcome to Nepal! Here our representative will meet you as you leave the airport. You will be heartily welcomed by receiving a garland (floral wreath) around your neck which means welcome to Nepal. You will then be driven to your hotel by car. Here you can have a rest and enjoy the day around Thamel; the tourist center of Kathmandu.

  2. Day2 Today you will explore some of the ancient sights of Kathmandu.

    Hotel in Kathmandu – B Your tour guide for the day will meet you at your hotel. Your first stop will be Nepal’s most important Hindu sight, Pashupatinath. This site sits on the banks of the holy Bagmati River and is used as a cremation ground. Our next stop will be Bodhnath, the largest Buddhist stoupa in Asia. This is your chance to see some of the thousands of pilgrims who gather to walk around the dome each day. Climb up to one of the many rooftop cafes for lunch and be rewarded with a bird’s-eye view of the entire square. After lunch we turn to the medieval temples in Patan’s Durbar Square. Patan is one of 3 royal cities in the Kathmandu Valley, it’s filled with wood and stone carvings, metal statues, ornate architecture, including dozens of Buddhist and Hindu temples, and over 1200 monuments. Our last stop for the day is the Buddhist temple Swambhnath, mobbed by monkeys and soaring above the city on a hilltop, the ‘Monkey Temple’ is a fascinating, chaotic jumble of Buddhist and Hindu iconography. This is a great place to enjoy your day, so enjoy the view and maybe catch a sunset before heading back to your hotel for dinner. In the evening you will have a meeting with your trekking guide who will make sure you are prepared, explain how your trek will run and also answer any questions you may have.

  3. Day3 Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m) by tourist bus, about 7 hours.

    Hotel in Kathmandu – B After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel to start your journey to Pokhara. Located about 200 km west from Kathmandu, the drive mostly follows along the Trishuli riverside. Enjoy the views from your window of the changing landscapes. In the evening you may feel like doing some sightseeing. A relaxing walk around lakeside is highly recommended.

  4. Day4 Pokhara to Tikhedhunga, drive 1.5 hours by car to Nayapul.

    Hotel in Pokhara – B After Breakfast you will drive from Pokhara to Nayapul to start your trek. Your guide will then check you in at the tourist check point in Birethati. The trail leads up through beautiful rice, maize and millet farms passing through several countryside villages all the way up to Tikhedhunga (1620m). If you still have energy to burn, why not walk further until Ulleri (1950m), you only need to climb about 2000 stone steps from Tikhedhunga.

  5. Day5 Trek from Tikhedhunga or Ulleri to Ghorepani (2860m), will take about 6 hours.

    Tea House in Tikhedhunga or Ulleri – B,L,D The trail goes steep up for 1.5 hours through stone steps where the trail leads through cultivated fields. The rest of the trail weaves through enchanting rhododendron and oak forest (blooms in March, April). Arriving at the top of the Ghorepani pass, you will be taken to your accommodation and have a chance to rest your feet.

  6. Day6 Trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani (2630m), will take about 5 hours.

    Tea House in Ghorepani – B,L,D It’s an early morning start today as you hike one hour up to Poon Hill (3210m). This hill is famous for it’s sunrise views of the Annapurna range. The glowing mountains are superb for photographers. After about one hour we will walk back down to the lodge at Ghorepani. After breakfast we will start the trek to Tadapani. A steep uphill walk to the village of Deurali, will offer more spectacular views of the mountains. After taking in the views, we pass through more rhododendron forest on our way down to the river. Crossing the bridge we head up to the village of Tadapani to rest for the evening.

  7. Day7 Trek from Tadapani to Chumrung Village (2170m) about 5 hrs.

    Tea house in Tadapani – B,L,D From Tadapani the trail drops down through rhododendron and oak forests to the village of chuile. Down still through terraced fields until we reach the river. After crossing the river we gradually climb back uphill to the village of chhomrong, where will have lunch and relax, as we stay here overnight. Chhomrung is a Gurung Village, and the highest permanent settlement in the valley with tremendous views across to Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare.

  8. Day8 Trek from Chumrung to Dovan(2600m) about 6 hours.

    Tea House in Chhomrong – B,L,D The trail descends via a stone staircase and then crosses the Chhomrung Khola. We climb till we reach Sinuwa. After we leave Sinuwa we begin to pass through forests of bamboo, rhododendron and oak forests to the village of Bamboo. From bamboo we walk another 1.5 hours to Dovan where we will stay for the night.

  9. Day9 Trek from Dovan to Deurali (3230m) about 4 hours.

    Tea House in Dovan – B,L,D The day starts with a gentle gradual walk following the trail above the river through bamboo, oak and rhododendron forests. We cross two rivers as we follow the trail along the Modi River. There is also the possibility of seeing a variety of species of wildlife such as wild pig, deer and langoors (monkey).

  10. Day10 Trek from Deurail to Annapurna base camp (4130m) about 4 hours.

    Tea House in Deurali – B,L,D Today we start our trek to Machhapuchre Base Camp (MBC). The trail climbs gently through a river bank and then rises steeply over the mountain side. There are a few areas prone to avalanche on the trail but only after or during the winter season. From MBC to ABC the environment will change to a bare plateau devoid of plants. We will witness snow boulders melting to form small rivers and sensational views of the near-vertical south face of Annapurna towering above the sanctuary. The heart inspiring views of Machhapuchre, Annapurna south, Annapurna I, Hiuchuli and other peaks will be the reward for all our efforts.

  11. Day11 Trek from Annapurna Base camp to Bamboo (2310m) about 7 hours.

    Tea House in ABC – B,L,D Early morning start as we relish the magnificent sunrise over the Himalayas from Annapurna Base Camp. After our breakfast, we start descending from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo, back through Machhapuchre Base Camp, Deurali, Dovan and finally reach Bamboo. Heading back down to the valley is much easier than climbing up. We will see the many waterfalls cascading down from high above, to the rocks below.

  12. Day12 Trek from Bamboo to Jhinudanda(1780m) about 5 hours.

    Tea House in Bamboo – B,L,D After breakfast we hike up to Sinuwa then down to chhomrong khola. We then ascend up the thousand stony steps taking us to Chomrong. From Chomrong we further descend to Jhinu Danda. Upon arrival at Jhinu Danda, we have an opportunity to soak in the hot springs lying just 20 mins down from Jhinu Danda.

  13. Day13 Trek from Jhinu Danda to Nayapul 5 hours, drive Back to Pokhara 1 hour.

    Tea House in Jhinu – B,L,D We begin our walk from Jhinu danda to Kyumi village via New Bridge. After having lunch in Kyumi, we trek to Syauli bazzar and then down to Birethanti. After we check out from the check post at Birethati, we walk 20 Mins to Nayapul where we drive by car to Pokhara. The drive will take 1.5 hours. Upon arrival in Pokhara we will have an opportunity to visit some more places around the lake city until the evening. A post trekking massage is always a great way to relax.

  14. Day14 Drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus, about 7 hours.

    Hotel in Pokhara – B,L We leave Pokhara and drive back to Kathmandu. Once back at your hotel you can relax or go explore the maze of souvenir shops in Thamel.

  15. Day15 Farewell from Nepal as you fly back home.

    Hotel in Kathmandu – B Our agency’s representative will greet you at your hotel and offer you a Khada (a kind of cloth which is worn on your neck). Wearing Khada means good luck and protection. Afterwards they will drop you to the airport. The above itinerary can be customized at your request to accommodate your specific requirements.
